Kanye-Gate 2009

I smell conspiracy theory! Ok, it was brewing in my mind the night of the VMA's that the Kanye West stunt could just be that, a stunt, but then my friends and I were watching the new Leno show (in between commercial breaks of The Rachel Zoe Project, naturally) and it all just started making sense: Viacom is a synergistic genius.

Exhibit A:

Swift was interviewed on the pre-show red carpet and when asked what she thought her chances were of winning tonight, she clearly said she had no chance.

Uh huh, me thinks the lady doth protest too much.

Exhibit B:

FIRST award of the night, Swift wins over Beyonce, and I'm not going to lie, though we all boo'd in unison at Kanye's antics, you have to admit, Single Ladies WAS the better video. You Belong To Me did not have viral videos of gay men dancing in leotards to it, nor did it have an SNL skit. Anyway, FIRST award of the night, kinda convenient for the scandal to start so early, so that it can be played out for the rest of the broadcast, no?

Exhibit C:

How did Kanye get up there so fast???????

Exhibit D:

Kinda convenient to blame it on the Hennessy (Kanye was carrying a bottle pre-show) when we all know it was sheer ego that would make him go up there. Ego, and maybe attention? Admit it, if you were MTV and you were looking for someone to make an ass out of themselves and complain about who should have really won a moon man, who would you ask?

Exhibit E:

From CDAN-

Everyone has said on the record that Beyonce's dad advised Taylor that she would get her chance to come on stage when Beyonce won Video Of The Year. HELLO. He said this to her BEFORE they announced the winner. How did he know Beyonce was going to win the award?

Exhibit F:

The next night. Kanye had been scheduled to appear on Leno's first episode. Did you all watch it? It was beyond weird when Leno started bringing up Kanye's recently deceased mother. I've never been a Leno fan, but I still thought it was uncharacteristic of him. It's not Oprah. It's almost as if Kanye's publicist asked him to bring up the mother card for sympathy points. Watch for yourself.

What do you think?

UPDATE!! Taylor and Kanye are both represented by David Wirtschafter. Chek it out: http://community.livejournal.com/ohnotheydidnt/39277563.html
